  Responsible for software design, implementation and support for electronic software delivery, using WebObjects and Perl on Windows NT/IS with ODBC connection to MS-SQL and Oracle databases. Wrote perl interface to third party transaction server (in c). Primary engineering support for running web stores.

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, Verity, Inc. Sept 1997 - Nov 1998     
  Responsible for developing test plans, test software and regression tests for major kernel software changes in a large C and C++ code base across multiple platforms (HPUX,SOLARIS,NT,WIN,AIX,IRIX).

Member, Technical Staff, Filoli Information Systems Company. Dec. 1994 - Sept 1997    
 Member of small team that developed NeXTStep workman's comp. risk assessment application . Designed, developed areas of application such as form letter editor,  data entry UI, automated data backup procedures. Also imported all data for app. from legacy data files. Was made sole developer in charge of application during alpha testing, which I did until December '95, when I moved to a group developing strategy for migrating data from legacy claims insurance system to new NeXTStep claims application. (COBOL data files to Sybase11). Senior member of that team, having implemented the migration using SQL and PERL. Data and application deployed as system of record.
 

Research Assistant, Center for
 Computer Music Research and Composition, U.C.S.B. 1993 - 1994  
1) Software written in C/C++, and CommonLisp languages (for music composition).
2) External code resources written  for Opcode's MAX real-time programming language (Mac).
3) UNIX system operator. Sun SparcStation fileserver for network consisting of VAX 11/750, Sun3 workstation, NeXT workstations, and Macintoshes. Maintained system files and user data. Responsible for maintenance contracts, all system backups, maintained network.
4) Addition of major capabilities to CommonMusic, Common Lisp based music composition system written at Stanford University and the Zentrum fur Kunst und Mediatechnogie, Karlsruhe, BRD
5) Software ports:
IRCAM soundfile system and utilities to NeXT.
Carnegie-Mellon FUGUE software, based on Xlisp (added IRCAM/NeXT soundfile compatibility).
Stanford's CommonMusic/CommonLispMusic (CommonLisp based) ported to TurboNext hardware platform.

1)  Microcode written for prototype of proprietary digital signal processor "Platypus/Capybara" developed at University of Illinois C.E.R.L. music project. Code written included real-time filters, reverb units, and sample rate change.
2) Beta-testing of Coda's Finale Music notation software (Mac).
3) Developed and managed real-time digital synthesis studio at Florida State University Center for Music Research. Compositional Software written in TUTOR language (developed at Univ. of Illinois for educational software delivery).
